Never got to grips with clay...I use it...But the results are never earth shattering.

I use sonus clay now...

i used sonus on mine the other night, much more gritty than the meggys. can tell the difference more now ive got a lighter coloured car

i tried the sonus green and it wasnt abrasive enough for the lower parts of the car. ive found that the megs clay does a cracking job on the bottom half and the sonus is gentle enough to do the smaller bits on the top half of the car

The Megs does a better job for me, the Sonus just crumbled in my hands when I used it. As for the results...it's not really about the look with clay but more of the feel of the paintwork and preparing it for the next stages.

All the look how shiny my car thread's on here in the past have made me laugh.

As you guys have found out, all it does is remove bonded on crap that washing alone won't - it won't make your car look any better though. Need polish for that.

^^ make a big difference to a silver car tho, you can really see anything that gets stuck on the paint so clay's handy for that.
