Cleaning up PC?

What's the best and easiest way to do this? I do not have an XP disc so reformatting is not an option.
I have Tuneup Utilities program and this helps but not massively.
Also upgraded the RAM to 1gig but still no massive difference.
Processor is 2.69ghz, HD has 17gig free and I'm on XP sp2.

What more can I do to speed it up?

Unfortunately, you do get to a stage where the only useful option left is a reformat. OEM XP32 is dirt cheap these days - approx £45-£50, assuming most vendors haven't ditched it in favour of Vista?

Without knowing what you've got installed and what you use it for, it's difficult to suggest anything further, really.
