Right so ive had this really strange noise from near the rear view mirrow when the car reaches 120mph. It's a bit hard to test exactly where it's coming from an I have to wait in between track days to try new things out.
Basically I've worked out its defintely to do with something up there. Because when I press on it at that speed it changes tone.
I've done all the searches and even got a little to-do video of how to clean the climate control sensor. I've Just taken the plastic surround out and was planning on taking it apart this so called fan and cleaning it today but there is no fan in there.
On the video and all posts i've read it says to take the fan out of the black cylinder housing and clean it. There is nothing like that on my car. Im assuming 172s and 182s have a different design.
Does anyone know what to do? There is a little black clip with a small blue point which looks like a sensor, but from what I can see there is no fan.
I've taken some pics to show what im working with. If anyone has and quick responses it would be much appreciated as I was hoping to get it fixed or at least try a solution by today.
Thanks
