Climate control sensor

Hi,

i have been having some trouble with my air con, it seems as tho its not getting as cold as it should be. i got the rad changed about 3 weeks ago and then it was charged up and worked mint.

the air was that cold coming out of it that it was making the vents really cold to the touch, since then i have used it quite a bit but its not having thew same effect.
the air does get colder when i switch it to mini and turn on the air con, but it doesnt feel air con cold if you know what i mean.

i have read on the forum that the climate control sensor is near the interior light, so i pulled this down to have a look, i disconected it and re connected it but there wasnt a change in the temp. there was also a connection block up there connected to nothing, just lying there doing nowt,
does anyone know what this is for? and should this be connected? cant see the point of a cable not plugged into anything

if i were to buy a new climate control unit from reno, would this solve this problem or do i have a leak?

cheers

If you've had it checked about three weeks ago and re-filled, check the pipes again now. You could have a slow leak. If it is that there is always a dye in the gaz. You can see this if its leaking.

Other than that, haven't got a scooby.......sorry......;)

yer this happend to a mate of mine not a clio , but had the garage refill it all was fine for a week or 2 , then just went back to not having air con.

As said the dye init should point u to where the problem is

what kind of price am i looking at to get this dye put in? and then will it need a refill when done??

Thanks for your help

The dye is standard in the refill. If it never leaks you'll never see it.
Even from Factory, it has the dye in.
