Clio 2 172 Phase 1 launched in 1998?

Hello, anyone knows if the Clio 2 RS Phase 1 had been available in 1998 or 1999? I cant find any prior to the year 2000. At least in Portugal.
I'm looking for a Clio 2 RS Prior to year 2000.

Yeah in the UK at least, I don’t think they made them earlier than 2000 either. I’ve never seen one earlier than an X registration in this country

Thank you guys. I want to participate in prior 2000 championship. The car registration must be before 31/12/99.

I'd check the build dates of some of the early cars, I imagine there will be some 1999 if they were registered in 2000
