Clock and Head Unit Resetting



Hi

Iv just finished fitting a Cd Changer in the car, Pionner all round.

Everytime i turn the ignition off the Clock and the Head Unit resets itself. Any ideas? As this has never happened before.

in the iso block there is a wire which has a constant feed from the battery to the headunit to keep the radio presets and time each time you switch off the engine. when you fitted the headunit maybe one of these wires got pulled out of the connector.
i have no idea which wire it would be you would have to get a wiring diagram!

I just disconnected the cd changer and the clock stayed the same.

Just to add to insult, i disconnected everything, radio, cd changer. Now the clock is still resetting, If i have the ignition on and then start the car it resets :mad: :mad: .
It wasn't doing this 5mins ago!!!
It wont stay on the same time at all now :mad:

its quite hard to help you because even when somebody tries to fix it for you they wont even know what is happening so they will just try a few things and may be able to fix it.
you can ask around on here and try and get an answer
or you will have to take it to a shop or a garage
advise: stay miles away from anything remotely like halfrauds!

I'm guessing you've checked all fuses? It sounds like you've lost your permanent live feed!
