clutch problems

right ever since ive had my car, the bitting point has been really l9ow. the clutch cable was changed a little while ago and today im having real problems trying to get it in reverse, the pedal doesnt seem to go down far enough, even thought its touching the floor. is there anyway of adjusting this or is my clutch on its way out.

The clucths biting point is usually high if its on its way out, isnt it?

Maybe just needs adjusting though. Have you tryed putting it in first then striaght into reverse?

How much does a clucth cable change cost cause i need mine doing cause its getting sticky?

If i get what you mean, the clutch pedal is fully down but doesnt feel like its engaged properly? If so its probably routed wrongly meaning it isnt moving the clutch far enough, but might be fixable without re-fitting. Try getting some thick rubber or plastic washers, cut a slit in them and slide them over the clutch cable at the gearbox. Place them in front of the black plastic thing on the end of the cable that sits behind 2 prongs. I used rubber washers so they would stay put when the cable is taught. Worked for me, problem was cured, never had any trouble with it after 8 months. Might take a few tries to get the wright thickness/combo of washers.
