if the bite is rite at the top then it could be on its way out..they normally last for an other 10k if you take it easy

the pedal has a self adjust mech on it so normally it levels its self out if its the cable

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
Really depends on the driver.

If you are crap at shifting then you could do one in 20k with 200bhp I would've thought (not very powerful so even abused should still last a while), or if you're good at it then there's no reason it shouldn't last much much longer.

yeah, what i thought how much would i be for an uprated clutch roughly?

Don't ride it (ooo ehh!) and take changes steady if you really feel it's shagged. I'd take it to a good that you can trust garage (Not renault as they'll say it's gone if it's only half worn....)

Not being sexist but you're a woman and garages WILL take the piss...

I dont know what that means ..

Basically if the new cable has throw it out the adjuster in the top of the clutch pedal will take up the slack (or free off) so it'll feel the same as before after a bit.

Bite wise, generally a sky high clutch bite point indicates that the clutch is on its way out. Although every clio i've driven bar mine now has had a sky high bite, although since i've fitted a new clutch to mine a few weeks ago its become much more in the middle and a more progressive bite than before.

Maybe im just worrying about nothing, Mike didnt mention anything when I had it in at RENTECH yesterday so im sure it will be fine.

  Mercedes C Class Sport
^yep...all those wheel spins and times of keeping your foot on the clutch when your accelerating ;)

  CB600FS
If you drive about with your foot on the clutch it makes it go a lot sooner, even just touching the pedal. My driving instructor used to go off on one if you left your foot hovering over the clutch.

my old valver was on 150k on the original clutch.

Thats good going.

Only if you apply force.

It's mainly bad shifting (the way most people are taught) when driving fast(er than the law permits)

I'd say your clutch gets far more abuse when pulling away, holding the car on an incline, or particularly when crawling in traffic.

Slow moving traffic, 1st gear only, my wife sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiips the clutch to get moving then immediately brakes to a halt behind the car in front; typical traffic queue sees that happen about every 20-30 seconds. No need at all when you can let the tickover of the car pull it along at walking pace in 1st gear.

Fook me thats hell of a drive for a service!!!!! G blackhurst & son in Whitchurch would have sorted you out....... Steve (SBV116) now has my Cup..... Andy has a 172 exclusive. Me and Eddie go there.........! Safe safe hands.

As for clutch, all Renault sport clios seem to have a high/heavy clutch. Clutches that go @ 40-60k have had a hard life imo, they should not wear out in that sort of milage. I sold my Cup with 73k and its fine.
