Sorry if this question has been asked before, I did a search but could not find the answer.
I have an intermittent problem with my 172 starting. If it has been wet or cold, it does not always fire up on the first turn of the key. This is not too bad as it will go on the second.
Yesterday it was cold (7 degrees) and the car started but had absolutely no power in her. If I blipped the throttle, the revs dipped and it felt like I was flooding the engine, if the throttle was applied gently then the revs climbed but the engine tone was not right.
Does anybody else have this problem? I bought it from a Renault garage and it still has 10 months warrantee on it but the garage is a 40 minute drive away and I really can't be ar$ed to send it off or waste a day if it something that can be easily fixed... such as cleaning spark plugs perhaps?
