Colour Coding

I obtained a nice dent from the paperboy in my drivers door!! He now has a nice dent in his head! Anyway back to the point the chap who is going to get the dent out and respray the door said that there is no point in colour coding my side strips and bumper strips because it wont last very long is this true or can a permanent finish be achieved??

If the surfaces are prepared correctly and the right primers and paints are used it should last I think. Iver always had cars with colour coded stuff and - even after respraying - it stood up well, although on my red Rover its looking a little faded.....but thats the original paint and its a 96 car...

yeah if its done properly it will last. I did mine using the wrong primer and it flaked off after about 2months, ive re-done it now and ive got no probs other than a few small stonechips!! If plastisiser is used then youll have no probs. Some sprayers dont like using it

I know a guy who patched up my old ,saxo when i pinged it and i only had a week to go till my clio arrived he is pretty cheap. But he dont fancy doing it he said it will flake probably go to AB styling in trefforest!
