Colour Coding

Has anyone tried colour coding the side strips themselves as Im thinking about giving it a go rather than paying someone to do it. Any special primer needed??

Plastic prima wont hurt.

Normal grey primer is fine, but make sure you sand the hell outta the plastic first. Start off with the coarsest paper, then get finer until youre using 400 wet and dry, and by then itll be so smooth the primer will go on like a glove.

The results are brilliant - WELL worth doing!

I have done this, just buy the primer and paint from halfords. Its very cheap and easy to do just take your time over it.

ive done the side trim, door handles, boot lock, bit at bottom of boot, scutter panel, front grill and bits under front lights. had no problems with any of it. As people have dais just takes a bit of time.
