Computer problem

Ok im useless with computers to say the least,and i hope someone here knows whats going on
For the last few weeks now i have had an intermitent message on my pc when i start up.
It says.....Local area connection2 You have limited or no conectivity with your pc.12 mbps per second,or something like that.
The computer is running great as far as i can tell and i havent noticed a drop in my download speeds at all.
I just dont know what it means.

No im on blueyonder broadband ,dell pc and im sat at home.Should be 4meg i think

sounds to me like you have another network set up - go to My Networks and make sure you have the 1394 firewall enabled and your internet conection enabled - disable everything else.
