an amp to the standard 172 cd/radio player. Is it alot of work?? I got full wiring kit and going to get specialist to fit it but just want to know how hard it is so i know how much to expect.

Has

  RS 182 - Black Gold
can some be added?

So how do people do it when they have 172's/182's? Do they buy new headunit

They normally buy a new Head Unit.

Or you can get amp connecting kits that use the speaker outputs.
Can be costly but does allow you to use the existing HU for the standard look.

Try audio specialist..... NOT Halfords lol
Theres plenty around on the net, buzz them and explain what your after. Any decent place will help you.... CarAudioDirect etc....

If you buy a new Head Unit, you can get stalk adaptors which will enable you to use the Renault Stalk with the new headunit. CHECK before you buy tho that it is compatiable with that particular headunit.

not all halfords have tossers for staff,it can be done for less than 10 quid, you need to buy a line output converter, you will lose a set of speakers, either front or rear, as you use the channels to wire in the sub then just wire it like you would normally a sub and amp,6.99 iirc from halfords
