cosmo cordless car polisher

  Inferno 182 w/ Recaros ;)

does anyone know where i can get one of these from? i saw it in autoexpress and its said to be excellent.

ive read the thing about the porter cable but dont want to spend that much money. autoexpress said the cosmo was 18 quid, i have looked all over the place but cant find one.

and before you say halfords, i work for them, so i know they dont do them

any online uk car car shops would be good to have links to, so i can have a look around

thanks

Seen them on ebay............the only thing is theyre not RANDOM..............so you could end up marking the paint.

o right, i dont know much about these, just that autoexpress said it was excellent,

is there much chance i could mark the paint?

Well I thought about getting one on ebay but asked around on here to see if it was any good when compared to the PC............and that was the general opinion............I think you just need to be aware of it and then carefull eh

£18 though does sound a bit cheap............and you tend to get what you pay for........just a thought :)

lol :D well if it doesnt last long enough, ill mod it so i can use a step down transformer and just use it like that...

still for 30 quid, dont think you can really go wrong... but as said, you prob get what u pay for.

I think this is the same one as the Megs cordless, but not half as expensive

it also doubles up as a sander which seems worrying to me.

i wish i knew where to get the one they reviewed from autoexpress from

i only saw one on ebay but it was going for over 30 quid - autoexpress says you can get one for £17.61

i do believe thats what a porter cable is essentially, just depends on what pads etc you use.

Just picked up my Cosmo polisher from Motorworld yesterday.

It is exactly the same as the Meguiars battery operated polisher but you dont get the meguiars pad, extra battery and case, although at 70 quid less than the meguiars I can live with that.

Pads are velcro attached so ordered some Sonus SFX pads from Autopia.

Hopefully get to use this week, weather and weekend shaningans permitting.

A lot of people use the Meguiars one although battery operated polishers are not that good for removing swirl marks apparently. I just want for using Meguiars 3 stage and making it a lot easier.

So 30 quid from Motor World, or did see on one of the Freeview shopping channels for 20 quid plus 6 quid postage.

If getting from Motorworld, order from shop and get it delivered there to save postage charges. 1st shop I tried didnt do anything for weeks so tried another shop and got it within 2 weeks.

as matty says, the cordsless machines will never remove any scratches or swirls (not as you would notice anyway) , but they are ok for applying waxes etc, oh and the batterys are known to only last 5 minutes when worked hard

5 mins blue I get a an hour from mine lol! The original megs ones imported into this country did have a battery issue but as long as you buy the 4 inch pads and look after the battery you will be fine, a great little polisher for £30.
