Courtesy Light/Locking Problem

So this problems recently becoming more annoying...

Sometimes my courtesy light doesn't dim and turn out after I set off on my journey, what i have to do is go out and slam my boot a couple times and that fixes it...

It also makes locking the car annoying because when i lock it, the indicators dont flash and the courtesy light stays on, so I sometimes have to unplug it so it doesn't flatten the battery...

I don't really know much about the electrics in a clio, but Im guessing some sensors gone on the boot or some loose wiring somewhere?

Any help?

Does the light in the boot goes off?
Best bet is to take down the rear seats and observe if it does.

will try and see next time it does it,

although when driving along the car randomly tried locking itself and the interior light came on. although the car was locked, the light on the padlock button on the CL buttons wasnt lit up as it normally does when its locked :/ then driving down some further it did the same thing, then locked itself again and the interior light went off and the padlock light came on...

Could be a loose earth connection on the dash bar. Take the dash top off and give them a wiggle. I've seen a loose one of them do some very weird and wonderful things!
