Custom headunit with Carminat TomTom.

Have been wondering if it's possible to install a custom headunit on a TomTom model, but still have the TomTom working rather than a blank screen?

Could you relocate the default headunit somewhere (possibly in glovebox?) and use that for TomTom, custom HU for audio?
