Dashboard Light Problem - Advice Please?

So the Service light and traction control light keep appearing on my dashboard. Even though I haven't touched the ESP button.

It's been happening a lot now. The lights do disappear for a while though when I turn the car on and off.

They first popped up on the way home from a Brands Hatch track day. A few days before which my mechanic gave my car a service and changed the brake discs and pads.

I'm assuming the Service light is coming up just because the car is due a service and that my mechanic didn't reset it on the computer. But why the traction control light too ??

It's making my think, maybe he's knocked a sensor or a wire down near the brakes or something !? Or could it be something else !? Maybe the pads aren't sitting correctly !? He did say he had to shave some bits off to get them to fit in.

Something is definitely not right with the brakes though. Although they feel perfectly fine when being used properly, when I first start the car from cold and first press the brake pedal, it feels clunkly/notchy. Almost as if it's broken a spring or something.

Car is getting looked at again by the mechanic on Thursday. But thought I'd post up on here to see if any of the experts might know what it could be ?? Or whether anyone else has had the same issue ??

Cheers for any help/advice.

MODS: If this is in the wrong section then feel free to move obviously :)

I have the same issue, could be an ABS sensor or the wires to it. I'm hooking mine up to CLIP to measure the readings on all 4 sensors.
