From when we bought the S2k engine and box about 2 years.

Its my dads build, and i think he prefers the time building and manufacturing the bits for it!

S2k engine as well superb. Even near stock they'll make 260hp plus with just an exhaust realy. Talk to Dave Walker IMo about mapping if your stuck for an ECU he's just done a escort with one 265hp with a enxhaust which wasn't ideal.

Dave Walker is the guy that deals with Emerald ecus and the Caterham lot if I'm not mistaken. That guy is spot on.

Yep does some stunning work. Operates just down the road from lotus as well so does loads of Lotus work then again engine guru mater he is realy I'm waiting for more rdetails on how his E85 powered Porche project at the momentis going 30hp with just the E85 fuel and boost.

His ECUs have had some critisism but nothing at all ever serious just preference people have IMO.

Yes weve known dave for a few years now.

We have a Race Engine Designs

There the boys that do the s2k hot rods, escorts, grasstrack cars etc. It should make around 260bhp but with a little more torque as well.

Emerald is extremely good stuff and Dave is a very knowledgable bloke. But the guys at Race Engine Designs know a little more about the Honda engines hence we got the dry sump kit, bodies, ecu, loom from them.

We have gone with the primary lengths all un equal as per the s2k. Some people say to keep them the same length others say match the honda manifold as its by far the best. So this one will do for know.

The silencer has a removable cat as well for SVA and MOT time!

Absolutely.

I spent almost £1,000 on about 4 foot of exhaust for the Striker, still it spat flames like a b*****d and sounded the b****cks.

Do you know anyone where you can get cheap K20s? I've been looking into them and it's almost as cheap orderding over boxed new items from the US than second hand ones over here! They are getting too popular for kit cars and Elises!

Good luck with the SVA Brad, the car looks fantastic. My Dad still can't decide whether to build his for road and go through with the SVA or just build it for track and dispense with all the rubbish that you have to fit to the car to get it through the test.

Always liked the Daxs' having been competing against them and in particular a guy with a 4wd Cosworth machine, awesome! Still can't stand the headlights though, would have to get the small Westfield ones for it.

As I said though, best of luck with the SVA and let us know how you and yor Dad get on with it.

for starters thats not a K20A its a F20 from the s2k.

We paid £1500 for the engine, box, loom, diff, dash

they are about as are the K20A just keep searching.

The sva will be easy mate, ive SVA'd 3 or 4 caterhams that have been race cars and it wasnt really that hard.

This is for the road, we just bought a Caterham R400 for the track
