Dealer Rant PART2





I HATE RENAULT DEALERS.... There utter toss. Took my car in last week for the temp sensor fixing. Left it with them all day, picked it up the next morning. "We couldnt find anything wrong with it so we havent done anything", the said... I told them what it was and explained the ClioSport forum and said its a major common fault... "Well you will just have to bring it in when its doing it and show someone". So I went...

Becasue I work like most people Mon - Fri is a no, no. I cant take it in what so ever unless I have the day off. I also work most Saturdays so I cant really take it in. Driving my car today and it started playing up again so I shot straight down to Renault. There was no engineers there. I asked if one of the sales people could come and have a look so they can pass on the message that it is playing up. "No we cant... Service and sales are completly different things". At this point I started getting mad... I told the manager that they will not fix the car unless they see it is faulty and due to work its impossible for me to bring it in when someone can look at it. I got no sense out of him at all.

My last words to the dick head was something like, "So Ive bought a brand new car for £14,000 its now six month old and I cant use it. Whats the use in that, you might as well keep it"

What do I do now?

Try taking pictures or video record it if u can???? Then use it as evidence

What i did........ Left it at the front and said dont call me untill it fixed, worked

Contact Trading Standards with a list of things that has gone wrong with the car. You will be able to find out if you can get your £££ back from them. Speak to them and they can tell you what too do etc. I would get a few more faults together and go into Renault. I took in 13 faults and a letter from trading standards and i got the work done, and a nice little Corsa to thrash for a week....(they are crap cars).

I know you will get angry when you cant get things done, but you need to remember to stay calm. I took the gf and her kids with me each time, and the little one likes to play in the Megane Convertable, not ideal when they are trying to sell it. One time he pulled the Christmas tree over as i told him too.....
 


I also refused to have mine back until it was fixed, they also payed for a rental after they took a courtesy car off me.

They just say its a dealer issue!1

The only way i found to get anything done was threaten legal or TV coverage!!
