Hi guys, need a bit of advice. Paints bubbled off in the corner 'lips' of my bonnet. It's rusted. So I touched it up with touch up paint and it looked alright but has now flaked off again, so I've now sanded it down a bit, put some Kurust on it and re touched it up and applied some lacquer. Looks absolutely crap, but it's better than it was. What do people recommend I do? Is it best to find a bonnet rather than let a body shop sort it out for me?

bodyshop would prob be around £150 - around my area anyway. If you could source a nearby bonnet this would prob be cheaper. Just a pain looking for one in right colour.

Ive got the 'thumb' indents on mine, and would sooner find a new panel, since its such a big flat panel I think theyre a bit of a pain to repair. New bonnet latch wouldnt go a miss either.

Might as well try sanding it right back and getting some colour coded rattle cans.. Worth a try IMO

You could probably find a fairly cheap Pearl Black bonnet quite easily.
