Cheers guys, Rich - I don't think the resolution of my D50 even reaches those sizes!
Found some stats on the web from April 2007 so going to stick to these I think (but not bother with 800x600), 1280x800 is looking rather nice for some of the pics, be needing me a monitor with that aspect ratio I think.
1. 1024 x 768 55.34%
2. 1280 x 1024 17.23%
3. 1280 x 800 8.23%
4. 800 x 600 8.18%
5. 1152 x 864 3.67%

I run 2960x1050 but it's not a normal resolution.

quickie for ya chris...
making the screens...do you use photoshop? just create a blank layer at the desired resolution then drag the pic into the new layer and move it about to get the section you want within the resolution/area?
I find it suprisingly hard to get it right without distorting the pic or I end up cropping so small that it looks pap! lol
