Difficult gear change

Hi. I am having difficulty changing from 1st to 2nd when the engine on my 1.2 dynamique is cold. This improves when it gets hot but is still not smooth. Has anyone had this prob and if so how did they fix it. Garage sprayed linkage with WD40 but to no avail

Could do an oil change

could be links on way out. When i had my corsa i used to have this problem which occured for 2 years until one day it wouldnt go into 1st or reverse. had to get it towed and replace gear links.

chnage the gearbox oil or least top it up
