do i need shortened shocks

on the rear of my 2003 1.6? it says that if you have the 60mm springs (p.i) it is recommended that you use shortened shocks.

so that means i dont have to, but what difference will it make/ with or without?

how many peeps have got these springs and not changed the shocks.

Plenty. But you should get matched dampers if you value good handling and ride.
