dodgy start.... help please

my first post on here so soz if i drag on :sleepy:

When i go to start up the engine it doesnt want to start straight away, i keep it trying to turn it over and it takes ages, but sometimes i have to stop and try a second time and then starts.

also iv had my car now which is a 172 for about a year and now lately wheneva i start it and for the first maybe 20mins driving it it seems realy jerky like my brother says turbo lag, i put my foot down and theres no power then it seems to pull and if im driving normal thru traffic and my foot is ever so sleightly on the pedal it seems like its jerking like im puttin my foot sleightly on and off the pedal :S anybody have any info that can help???

only that mines doing exactly the same thing and it's had a new TDC sensor + updated Loom, Coilpack, spark plugs and no Lambda sensor and it's still doing it!

Recently cleaned sensors and connections not happened since. But ive got faith in it happenign again lol

Did you chnage the leads? Are the plugs firing?

Mine was also idling at 2000rpm a few time. A few kicks on the throttle (this wasn't due to sticking throttle body though, that feels different ) to higher rpm and it stopped.

Maybe a dodgy sensor somewhere?

Omg, why is the edit time so short?

Found my problem for the not starting! --> Full cut of switch tripped when I changed my air filter (the big red button --> push it to enable the fuel pump again).
Probably still having the problem with the jerkie throttle response once in a while.

is it easier to start when its cold then has trouble restarting when its warm

my bro has cleaned all sensors and at the moment its starting and running fine, BUT it did start and run fine now and again so its probs only a matter of time lol

gna have it serviced on the weekend as its been a while sin ce last service
