does the 03 plate Standard HU have pre ou

does the standard HU on an 03 plate clio have pre outs, i want too no because i want a sub and amp but dont want too change the HU just yet, i no i wont get near as good sound but i will change that a little bit later down the line!

No - however, you can get a kit that does the job without needing pre-outs. About £25 I think. Alternatively Halfords do a wiring pack with all the necessary cables and a pre out converter and that is £30.

erm... not sure. I bought one a while ago when I bought my sub... just ask the guys in the audio section for the full wiring kit that includes the pre-out bypass.

I have never changed the head unit. I like the display and remote too much, and to be honest the standard one isnt really THAT bad.

Nah, the factory one isnt that bad... but it can be soooo much better! Plus, if youre going to put in an amp, then speaker level inputs will be sh*te. Besides, you can buy an adapter for the controls, and why would you want to look at that crap little orange display, when you could have a much, much nicer one on the new head unit?
