Does this sound normal?

When i walked up to my car earlier the gap between the front wheel and body seems huge, i have a 172 cup with standard 16's on it. The gap is a fist from the tyre to the outside of wheel arch, and therefore the car at the front looks like its sitting hire. I have looked at other cars online and the front wheels do look small and there seems to be quite a big gap, i take this is normal??

The reason i ask is i have just bought the car and i know it had new front springs, so i didnt know if they put cheap springs on and thats why it seems to be sitting so high. I will try and add pic later.

Any thoughts?!

Do you mean from the top of the tyre to the top of the arch or do you mean along the side of the wheel?

Oh and what size wheels are they?

From the top of the tyre to the body of the wheel arch.

So its about a fit from the tyre to the outside arch of the car.

When u look from far away gap seems huge, they are standard 16's on the car

Its hard to tell without a pic but i'm pretty sure I cant fit my fist between the wheel and the top of the arch but mine is a 182 with the cup suspension so will be slightly lower. Have you got any pics?
