Doing a long journey on Friday

Driving from Watford up to Scotland (Helensburgh for those interested!)

One thing that I'm thinking about is there anything I need to do for the car? The tyres are ok at the moment, I've checked the oil and there's enough in there (although I think it will need topping up soon and I'm not sure which to buy!).
It was serviced earlier this year (March I think) so I think it should be ok, just wondering if there's anything I'd missed? Only had the car a month or so!

Also, if there's any great roads that I should know about?!

Tyre pressures can be worth a few mpg. Can't recall what they're supposed to be but says in the RS owners manual.

tyre pressures, keep a big bottle of water in the boot just incase you need it. not too much else really

Take some window cleaner and a cloth as flies are very annoying and the wipers can't shift them!

Check all fluids if you haven't checked them in ages, not just oil. Coolant, PAS fluid, brake fluid, screenwash, and remember to take your breakdown card with you.
