I'm after a domain, but it says its already taken, but there isnt a site for it as such.

Can anyone help me and point me in the right direction?

I was just about to post this, says it expires the end of Feb.

Wonder what the chances are of him keeping it on.....

Probably quite high

A renewal will probably go out to him a month before it expires, then if it lapses it'll go into a retention period and he'll be charged more money to get it back. If he then doesn't claim for another 60 (or might be 90) days then it'll be released to the world.

You might be able to tell me, what do I need to link a domain to another site?

Do i need webspace?

You can forward domains to another url if you dont want webspace.

e.g. you may want to forward it to a blog at www.blogger.com

Alternatively, most places like www.fasthosts.co.uk will sell webspace with a free domain name anyway.
