driftworks do drift days, they teach you how to drift you then take your licence... provisional and then full, so that your able to enter in to drift events if u wish :)

  850 T5. mmmm Turbo!
drift events?

i dont undstand the concept of drift racing, if you wanna win you just stop drifting and race normally. dont see how they can judge on it.

drifting is judged on corner entry speed, angle of attack, agressivness(sp), drift speed, amount of tyre smoke, linking drifts etc...

not on who gets to the finish first!!!

then your have toshido (twin drift) which gets more difficult!!

amount of tyre smoke?

how exactly do they measure that?
it looks good but i cant see why they have turned it into an event!

I was a person who didnt see a point in drifting aswell.

Then you go to an event, behind the scenes, rather than sit with the chav crowd.

The drivers are flaming nuts and fantastic.....the irish boys more so, handfull of good UK guys.

So good that i now sponsor a drift car.....trust me, not many full bore racing drivers have the skill to do what they can do.

And judging smoke is easy when a 700bhp skyline pours off some slicks on one corner, then a 170bhp corolla screams round with the weight of a pack of crisps on their tyres making next to no smoke.
