drive shaft gone?

hey, im new to the site but ive got a question for you guys. i drive a mk2 1.4 clio and i think the drive shafts gone.
when i turn to the right it makes a horrible rubbing grating noise, when i drive straight its the same it only quietens up when i turn left. ive been told i need a new front passenger side drive shaft, but totally unsure on how much its gonna set me back

any help would be really appreciated!!

Wheel bearing or C.V. joint on driveshaft unless something like a mudflap or wheel arch liner is hitting the tyre.

as your name is slammed clio, maybe the wheel is touching the arch? or suspension unit. mate had this problem when he lowered and stuck 18's on his golf!

CV joints will be fucked. If its slammed then youve got no chances, be prepared to change them often.
