Drive shaft question

Is the dirve shaft fitted to the 172 cup the same as the normal 172 drive shaft as i rang GSF and they told me that the one i need is an uprated one and the dont stock it

this sounded stupid to me why would renault make different drive shaft for the cup surely its the same shaft just with and without the ABS ring

any one have a definate answer?

Not a definative answer sorry, but the boxes are different on cup vs standard I believe.(slightly) thats a fred question really.

I thought the boxes where the same, but the track of a cup was slightly wider. Meaning you would probably need shafts that were a tiny bit longer

Shafts are a little longer to account for the wider track I think.

its the wheel offset thats different

ahh yeah, forgot about the non abs cups. that explains it
