Drivers side wing mirror

Some kind person has hit my drivers wing mirror and torn it out of the bracket, nothing has snapped but there is now a large gap between the mirror mount on the car and the mirror itself, electrics all work. How do I take it apart to put it back together properly, anyone know as I virtually have to stick my head out of the window to look in the mirror !!!

it should lever in unless its shagged, you will see at the front of the mount its like a ball joint try and push the ball joint on the mirror back onto its clip, if you have problems i have another mirror and mounting here for a phase 2 clio 16v, with no glass you can have it for £20. Finished in Black.

ok thanks for the help, will have a look tonight for this ball joint, I have tried pushing it on several ways but doesnt want to give, cant see the ball joint but will have another look tonight, do all phase 2 clios have electric mirrors ?
