Looking to get one. Haven't researched much but was looking at Nikon D70 or is it 80? Any good? Bare in mind i'm a beginner.

How much am i looking at for a DSLR?

d80 is probly overkill for beginner, but go for it if you can afford it. D40/50/70 is probly better and will cost between £200-£300 + extra for other lenses.

i wouldnt say the d80 is overkill. it has more features, yes, overkill. no. is just better.

u'l want to upgrade soonish, and you'll be able to AF with more lenses etc. top lcd, moe af points i think.

D80 will help your photography more that the D70....the exposure and metering is so much more forgiving

I bought a D70 for £450 from flea. It has a 28 - 70 lens and 80 - 300.
