That merc is the biggest pile of turd I've seen in a while, and it sounded worse than it looked

M3 guy simply cannot drive

GTR was nice but still managed to look slow??

Looking slow = in control. If you spin your wheels and make lots of screechy noises, sure it'll look fast but you won't be fast (M3). I don't think the exhaust note helps it either, it's very quiet and just sounds like you're driving to the shops.

Only 1/10th of a second behind the evo.

If the E92 has launch control like the E46, it is more of a show off thing than actually useful. If it was manual, well, needs to work on it!
