E63 AMG yes another AMG thread....

Well had her just over 2 weeks now so had some time to get used to her.

I do miss the RS6 and in everyday situations (weather), the RS6 is the quicker car however, the Merc is more fun, much better box (feels like DSG), no body role, much better build, and the sound pops and farts nicely on over run!!!!

I could go on for ever. On dry tarmac the Merc is quicker past 100.

Mods for the next few months? Need to make the exhaust a little louder on chat but not whilst cruising. Tint the rear windows which is a must for my little one, and remap. Map is not for power but driveability.

So all in all, good move.

I only post my cars up as I have been on here for a longgggh time and owned many 172s. Most of the old members like the more recent conquests :)

they are a lot of fun :) yours had the fuel sender recall done?? seems that the 63 gets more hassle than the 55 does :S does yours have the 6 cd changer hidden in the dash? by far my favourite part of mine but i don't use the cd changer lol...

what you doing to exhaust?? x pipe? valves? I'm getting x pipe and will probably delete secondary cats then do headers which on the 55 should give 60-80bhp :)

It's under Merc warranty so everything that's been needed has been done. One of the reasons why I moved away from the Audi. Yeah the 6 discs is in the dash lol but I use my iphone. Exhaust, remove rear cats and maybe x pipes, nothing more. Extra power is a tough one, think I'm going to fit a LSD first and see how I get on.

And yes lol they are a lot of fun.

its mental how they look so normal really (compared to newer amg's) let me know how you get on with the lsd, something i am tempted with too :) i would like some c63 amg back boxes but they are stupid money in the uk and supposedly don't make any difference to the e63 so wouldn't be any good to you, tell you what the e55 is stupidly quiet i actually hate how quiet it is! i have removed the baffles from mine and it hardly did anything hence why I'm doing x pipe and then will most likely do decat... I'm surprised how well the gearbox on mine works too its pretty quick shifting in manual. the traction control still makes me laugh at how slack it is lol

What Mpg you getting now you have had it for a few weeks? I have just bought a c320, picking it up saturday :)

Yes I know, not keen on the newer versions. I know they are a all round better car but they look odd. Mine is also rare as hens teeth. Only 300 estates where built for the UK, only 2x for sale currently lol. As foe MPG, 13!!!!!!!!!!!

Not going to happen, that ship has sailed. I'm tempted to buy a Lotus Carlton for the weekends but tbh honest, going to save my pennys for a C7 RS6.

Coincidently one passed me this morning. First estate I've seen in person, other than gunning it on the motorway. Sounds epic on the tick over burble!

Looks epic! i'm currently looking at the C63 Saloon can't decide weather to go new Rs4, i need 4 seats so selling the Exige S.

Anyhow that one beautiful looking estate.

Neat car but i´m still baffled how Merc has managed to make its estates so ugly. Got nothing on rs6 when comparing looks. c7 rs6 you say, what about rs7 :eek:

I agree, looks awesome from behind and from the side. Front end looks ugly as, loved the way the RS6 looked.

Now in getting used to it she out does the RS6 in every way except if it's wet.

No it has to be a C7 RS6 in Daytonna.
