I’m thinking about performing an EGR delete on my diesel truck, but I’m torn. Some forums say it improves throttle response, fuel economy, and prevents carbon buildup, while others highlight issues like check engine lights, engine stress, and emissions violations.

For those who’ve done it, how noticeable were the performance gains? Did your engine run smoother or did you encounter new maintenance challenges?

Also, did you have to adjust tuning or deal with any legal concerns?

I’d love to hear honest experiences, both good and bad, to help me make an informed choice.
