electric window problem mk2 ph1

  Golf GTI 1.8T
yes I know they are a common problem to break, I've replace this once but I dont think its that.

today I changed some interior bits see - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=133964

and I also put on my colour coded handles so the doorcards had to come off. put it all back together and the left one is fine, put the right one back together and thought I'd just check the switches are ok.

now the drivers window wont go down, well it will but very slowly and needs pushing to help it, but it shoots up fine like normal :S

cant see it being anything I've done as I didnt touch the window mechanism, anyone know what it could be, maybe the switch?

Mitch :)

The switch shouldnt affect the rate the window goes up or down. Its more likely that something is in the way of it. If you take off teh doorcard again check that nothing is catching, move the window whilst the card is off and watch it. Its always worthwhile regreasing the runners as well.
