got my 3rd xbox today and got a free wireless controller for the incovenience,well now i expect a new xbox for this bloody inconvenience!!
got my new one back and went to use my new wireless controller,went to press the )) button on the xbox and nothing happened,no change in lights or anything,press the same button on the controller and the lights spin,this suggests to me that they havent even bothered to check that the wireless controllers actually work!so annoying,is there anything i can try or is it a case of ringing xbox AGAIN

Your xbox should always turn on via the main button on the console, check the power cable if there's no life at all

The wireless pad just sounds like it isn't paired with the xbox, you do this with that little button on the front (to the right of the memory card slots) and the button on the top of the wireless controller. I think you press the xbox one first, then the controller one
