Failed MOT

Only on 2 front tyres but to i replace them with whats all ready on there Michelin Pilots or put on some Toyo proxes T1?

Bloke at the garage tells me that im better sticking with what I had before??

Direct replacement for the factory Pilot Sport SXGTs as fitted to Mk1 172 is the Pilot Exalto (Pilot sport only comes in 16" and up now).

Ive got these on and have been very happy with them. Paid £120 fitted for two, shop arround and you will get them for less.(I wanted to give local tyre fitter who I always use the buisness.)

Get yoko A539s, excellent dry grip performance and last pretty well. Wet grip is only ok though.

The Yokohama A539s I once had were nice, but arent a patch on the Michelin Pilots I now have on my Williams.

Michelin are probably some of the most expensive mass market tyres you can get but are well worth it. Ill be getting some Pilot Exaltos in a few weeks time.
