FAO: Christopher - Nimbus 200

Lee

  BMW M2C
I'm sure I read somewhere that the wee lad has an UR 200 on order, but I'm not entirely sure TBH. Either way, he seems to be wanting to see pictures of nicely loaded 200s, so I ran an oily rag over mine today and took a few pictures. Any excuse.

I know, the centre caps are still anthracite, the black ones will be on next week. :approve: I also swapped the number plates for some nice clean ones, none of that dealer advertising and bright blue euro s**t spoiling my perfect colour coordination. It's amazing what an improvement the plates make, especially to the front of the car.

  Iceberg 172 Cup
still not a fan of these...maybe with time but the styling is awful (front end)

i second this, give me a 182 anyday! they just dont look anything special imo, far too subtle, if i didnt know abit more about clios than the average joe i would have thought that was a 1.2 with some black rims!

sorrrryy!!

The front is odd, from some angles it looks fantastic, from others it looks a bit soft. It's certainly lost the presence the 197 had, but the 197 was starting to look dated, which other than the fact the 200 is a much better drive, was one of the reason I changed.

LOL at subtle. The 1*2s were the most subtle of the bunch. Mildly flared front arches and and a different grill and that's about it. They didn't even bother making it wider at the rear.

Immense machine mate. I actually prefer Mercury with the same spec but love Nimbus.

That looks cracking.

Lovely colour combo and properly tidy spoiler rather than that stupid backwards one they whack on at le factorié.

Bloomin' good effort Sir.

Great car, but, never got the whole Nimbus thing. Prefer LY, AG then UR over Nimbus. Car still looks great Lee :).

A 200 is too subtle, but you'd rather have a 182? Really?

I was actually going to get an UR one, but this one grabbed me. After then Cup being white, the Trophy Red and 182 blue I'd had 3 brighter cars. I don't like LY too much, but I do like AG, just not on my car. Attention when driving through Birmingham isn't always a good thing. Lol.

I'll see what the next one is like, as I need to scratch a racing blue itch.

It tickled me too.

I love the 182 and like to think I had a decent-looking one, but the 200 looks a much more purposeful car.

The 182 is just a normal Mk2 with slightly wider wings and skirts.

No wider rear wings. No diffuser. No hugely flared wings with functional vents. No Brembos. Etc etc.

Really?

I never realised how different from standard they are. Last week came back to mine and someone in a standard one had parked in the next bay.

The view from behind when compared to a normal one is quite frankly epic. Properly looks like it's got roid rage.

As you know. I owned 3 of the buggers, and it was only the trophy that got attention, mainly down to the colour and the stickers. Most people look at the 200, especially from the rear and say 'f**k me that's wide'. Got a proper fat arse.

I was behind one on the M6 a few weeks back. I was giving one of the lads from work a lift and he commented on how the wheels were actually out wider than the top of the body of the car.

I can't argue with that g@z. It's not got that 'one last look over my shoulder' nose that the Cup had, but it does look younger.

I can't wait for the next model, CS members don't like change. Lol. Every new model is hated until its worth buttons.

I was expecting to see Harry Potter's new broomstick :(

Looks lovely though Lee :) I'd have a specced up 200 over any other Clio, I think?
