few questions

1: do the 172s have batteries in the dash and stereo? i took my battery off for about 3 hours twice,its now bk on and i put the code in the stereo and it hasnt lost any of its channels or settings? same with the dash,my trip,mpg etc all still as they were?


2: i am going to need some new rear disks and pads next month,is it worth uprating? iv always found std do plenty well? if std where from? renault?


3: how often is brake fluid supposed to be changed? i only know vws which is every 2 years


4: im looking to uprate my suspension,i love the way it rides and handles now so i would like to keep it as it is(ie able to deal with bumps and uneaveness) what kit could i get? is there an upgrade that i can do to improve the setup with out losing any of its characteristics? i mean renault spent alot of money making it handle nice and i really like it but i havent had the chance of experiencing another 172 with an uprated kit on?

Standard brakes do the job nicely, i would only say its worth upgrading them if your gonna take it on track. Don't get them from renault they will shaft you, have a look at www.yozzasport.co.uk

If you like the standard suspension, just go for some Eibach pro springs, they are extremely good quality and they will only lower your car 20/15mm. i found they really improve handling and not make the ride any harsher - other than that, if you have money to spend get coilovers

na dont fancy coilovers mate,iv had a few sets and i prefere how the car handles now


thing is id rather do the shocks as well as the springs,any u could suggest?

The stereo must do, I replaced the standard hu on my 172 but when I came to sell it I put the original one back in and all the stations were still programmed.
