Also, when i had the wheels off i saw just how dirty they were on the inside so gave them a quick wash. Theyre no where near clean but a hell of alot better then they were.

Its sumit im going to be doing very soon when i get my turinis :D Looks good mate :)

Did u take the calliper off or leave it on?? Also what paint did you use, and how long did they take to dry?

  White APE
I just left them on. Tbh, ive never worked on cars before so didnt want to be fiddling with taking them off so just used a 1/2" brush.

Boy did i get some looks from the neighbours. One asked why i was doing it because your not going to see them LOL

Good work fella looks like a tidy motor!

Did mine monday i also left them on and just used hammerite will last yonks and hardly touches the can! Bargain at six quid!

  White APE
Cheers for the opinions guys, keep them coming :approve:

I think its a bargain of a mod to do tbh.

Yea, i saw how much paint i had left and started looking at the enginge....

Just not sure if the hammerite would cope with the heat though so thought best not to... Does anyone know?

What hammerite did u use?? I was going to do that, then use some heat paint on the inlets and that, got so much to buy for the car in July :)

Ive allways used it and never had a problem tbh.

Its just in a small tin and called hammerite smooth.

Halfords do it and have loads of colurs i went for green the yellow is nice to sure schweppy used it on his cup?

  White APE
Yup, hammerite smooth.

Any good to use on the eninge or would that require a more heat resistant paint?

you did a better job then me! lmao

HAHA come on, show us hows yours went. If your too embarrassed, pm' me them.

Take long to dry?? The stuff like anti chipppp, anti muck all that stuff lol, gonna get it dont before fcs hopefully

The can says about 1-2 hours to touch dry. I did it in full sun and by the time i had painted them and then was the wheels it was dry tbh. I chose not to drive the car once it had done just to make sure though.

I know the enginge is silver anyway but i thought this would freshen it up a bit until i can decide what colour to add to the eninge bay but im not going to apply it until i no its safe to do so.
