Finally played with it!

Cruise control that is... had my 182 a year and I tried it out for the first time tonight, well I played with the speed limiter first as I pressed the wrong button and I also managed to turn off the ESP too at some point, but I was trying to concentrate on the motorway as it was foggy

Quite exciting :D

I tried mine out on a long trip up the motorway late one night for the first time, was a strange sensation having both feet on the floor for 80 miles, damn handy on long m/wy journeys.

I suppose the novelty will soon wear off but I just love speeding up using the buttons, feels WELL weird!

Ive been using mine plenty on the V6. Driven loads of cars long distances on cruise control in US/Canada, but altogether more scary at first with the power of the V6. Definitely that "running away" feeling. Also flicked the switch the wrong way once and couldnt work out why the car was slowing down  ... green good, orange bad.

I do about 18 miles a day on the motorway, and more than happy to stick car in 6th and let it drive itself on the boring bits.

What I wanna know.....

if you use the +/- to speed up/slow down, do the brake lights show whilst you are slowing down?

nah I dont think they do Coco. The slowing down isnt very harsh like when you are braking so there isnt really any need.

If you lift off the throttle do your brakes come on?

its great fun on an empty dual carriageway or motorway, as you say can be quite erratic (not erotic...)

It feels like youre playing a computer game, speeding up and slowing down with a couple of wee buttons - very surreal.

If you travel on any bumpy roads,Do you find that the bumps keep making you nudge the accelarator thus making the car keep twitching if so switch cruise on makes a much smoother journey.

Im not sure... I keep mine flat to the floor, that way it doesnt move on bumps.:devilish:

Cant keep it flat to the floor in a thirty, well you could but the points might start adding up.With the cup pack on mine twitches hitting a cats eye at speed.
