Finding out a BT number

We are visiting the place we are moving into tonight, I have a telephone to plug in to find out the number for the property. Anyone know what you dial?

I think it used to be 174.

But why dont you just pick up the phone and dial your mobile? It will save you writing it down or putting it into your phone once you have it.

Phone your mobile and the number will come up.

try 17070

as koi said. do 17070 and it will read you back your number. if that doesnt work do 147017070 the 1470 removes the number bar

Err if the line has been disconnected then you will get given a new number so "if" by chance it is still a live line... that wont be your number anyway??

Or are you taking/transferring your number with you??

Or am i just talking s**t!!??!! lol!
