Seems to just be raping my computer at the moment. Ridiculously f**king slow, and keeps jamming up.

No. It did it yesterday and my computer has been off all night.

However i've been on the internet all day, but that shouldn't effect it right?

do you have firefox 3 as older versions had memory leak issues. Also try to run it in firefoxs own safe mode.

Did a virus the other night. All fine as normal.

I had it off all last night and it "seems" to be okay this morning. Will see how it goes.

Yup exactly this. I had my CPU monitor thingy open at it just shot to like 100% if i did anything in firefox.

Try using windows exp that way you can see whether it firefox or your pc

Having issues myself, laptop just freezes when i click in Firefox. It's only occasionally, but it gets a bit annoying having to restart a few times a week. Having said that I would never change to IE or Safari as they annoy me; Chrome.. possibly.

It's stopped now. It had a fit when i searched youtube for a video. Now fine. FFS so annoying. Maybe i need more ram.

System idle process is just something your processor does with unused clock cycles, you'll usually find it eating massive cpu usage, it's only because your system isn't doing anything else. Perfectly normal mate.
