Fitting of PowerFlex anti-roll bar bushes???

I had fitted the suspension arm bushes. They are good.
But I do have problem when fitting the anti-roll bar (inner one) bushes.

Mainly because the anti-roll bar are with 25mm diameter. But the internal hole of the bushes are 23mm. I know I may need some force to fit them. But the result is - impossible!!!

See attached pic of the gap showing the original one and Powerflex one.

Can someone help out?

BTW, the Powerflex site showing 2 same anti-roll bar (outer) bushes!!! No inner one are shown. Crazy! I had emailed them and they said the had ordered a set from Renault to check. But never reply since Jan 2006.

The RS models are ok, they fit in quite easy and not heard a problem about them.

Mines a non RS mk2 and the bushes were a no go, so david gave me a full refund as i had no joy from Powerflex.

What??? Fit quite easy on RS model??? Mine is 172 MK2!!!

What is the thickness diameter of the anti-roll bar on standard non RS Clio, 172 MK1 and MK2??

when fitting them, put some copper grease on them, or they WILL start to squeak all the time

i had em on my last car

Yes, I did use some copper grease on wishbone, but not enough I guess as I heard some squeaking noise now :-{ I think because I had only put in between metal. I should remove and put more between rubber and metal as well.

But I guess copper grease will not help in fitting the inner anti-roll bar bushes.

My inner mount part number is - PFF60-202-23. They say Renault Clio & 19 on the box. Is this correct? But if you go to Powerflex site, you are not able to find any inner mount for Clio 172. They had repeat the outer mount twice. But if you click onto their catalogue button, you will see a pdf file with inner mount in it. Mine are correct.

Clio 16V use PFF60-202-20 with 20mm bushes.

172 part numbers are:=

Front Anti Roll Bar Outer Mount (each)PFF60-207-232 23mm9.95
Front Anti Roll Bar Outer Mount (each)PFF60-207-232 23mm9.95
Front Lower Wishbone Bush (4 per car) (each)PFF60-3011 13.95

Looks like yours are wrong but even the others state 23mm..!

Thanks but, you are wrong. Is yours from Powerflex site? You repeat the outer mount at same part number (same as Powerflex site). I am talking about the inner one.

Was from their sit using the tab menus.....

Was interested in doing this but seems that there not right for the job...

First, Powerflex saw the pic and said:

This is definitely not correct
We have not come across this before
All I can say is send the bits back and I will give you a full refund.

Second, K-tec refund me.

Pussies the lot of ya lol

NMatbrown fitted some to a valver but not 100% on how he did it, looking at teh pic i would use 2 mole grips, and failing that a small G clamp to compress the rubbers.

No point in putting rubbers on if they just fit loosly, they have to be a TIGHT fit, hence needing to compress the rubbers

Oh and go to rally design and get the ones they sell, they do the correct wishbone end ones for the wishbones with teh hole in the end and the bolt, and they comeout at about £60-£70, not over £100 lol.....you boys are being robbed going to k-tec

Mine was free in shipping cost and no VAT, due to my purchase of the Turini in charcoal grey.

I know it is not useful if they are loose, but it is just impossible to fit. Show you if you can fit one on it. Or maybe mine are wrong.
