Fitting Parrot mki9200

  Renault clio 1.2 16v
Hello.

i was once a member on here years back, but having changed my car I moved on like an un-loyal b*****d. Soz.

I'm economising due to those two pricks, David and Nick, hence my recent purchase of a 1.2 clio.

Its more basic than an Uzbekistan prison but it's a good little runner so well done to Renault.

Anyway, having bored you all with irrelevant tosh, I'm hoping someone on here has completed a step-by-step guide on how to instal the parrot device. YouTube is shite, and shows nothing relevant.

Im terrible at DIY and don't want to pay Halfrauds £50 to laugh at a 30 year old bloke driving a 17 year old girls car, so any help would be super.

pull radio out, connect parrot wiring (iso) - check red is constant/orange ignition (multimeter), run mic into headliner, sync cables into golvebox or centre console, pop out hazard control panel and run display cable, tuck everything in and slide radio back, job done, 30-45mins max (but I do fit these regularly), ph1/2 clios are plug and play

Thanks for taking time to reply and your help.

What do you charge to fit it to a '60' plate clio, and are you near Doncaster?

what the hell is a hazard control panel?

will I need to buy additional cables to the ones that come with the kit?

You can find the last point out on the parrot website. You may have to swap around the 12v feeds in the loom around to ensure the parrot isn't on when the ignition is off.

Wiring diagrams are also supplied by parrot. http://www.parrot.com/uk/installation

U wldnt want me cuz i work for halfords lol, no additional cables needed but ignition feed will be needed. Im in edinburgh so not near by unfortunately - halfords can be a mixed bag when it comes to fitters - some good some bad - like eveywhere, a local autospark could do it but wld imagine over £50, maybe someone nearby you might see this and help you out

Doncaster, I guess

op, look for a red Megane sport in a halford's in Doncaster, go in and ask for Gregg, he's a miserable sod but should sort you out... Somehow

Not worked there for years mate! Still in Doncaster though, just not Halfords.
