Fixed Back buckets...

Will fixed back buckets lean forward to allow access for a passenger??

If not would it be illegal to put just 1 fixed back bucket seat in my car or would it fail its MOT for this ?

My driver seat is fooked and i am concidering upgrading to a bucket seat but am not sure on the laws regarding this and the MOT rules.

I know i could legally fit a recliner but dont think i have the budget for one.

Dont think the recliner is tested in the mot

Do you have many passengers in the back of the car? If you only have a few, just make em climb thru!

The last owner of my car was told that they should have failed him because the Drivers seat (16v Phs1 Seat) doesnt go down propperly (in which it does, its just a pain in the ass to do) . So i assumed if they test that they would moan about having bucket seats that dont move out the way for passengers.

If worst comes to the worst ill ditch the rear seats and put in some Capreted MDF sheets to tidy the area up.

Depending on who supplies your subframes you can get them to tilt. My CObra Suzukas do not tilt but then again Ive got nothing in the back.

I know cobra dont do tilting subframes coz I phoned them about this.

(Well not for a 1.4 anyway but I think all clios of the same age had the same subfram mounting points right?)

Could try Corbeau

Corbeau seats seem to be pretty much the same as some of the cobra ones If you ask me its the same company but im not gonna say thats accurate yet.

Is their a law that says if you have back seats you have to be able to access them ? or an MOT rule ?
