Flat spot at 6k rpm -solved

thought i'd post this. i had a flat spot at 5.5-6k rpm. didn't really bother me as i have a habit of changing up before then. not anymore! turns out they had bosch's finest spark plugs in there, whipped them out for some proper ngk ones, flat spot gone. mpg up. hth.
