hey up guys my gaiter surround has broke and is now loose when i go into fifth or reverse..how much is a new one from renault cheers guys

Yup, £4.95 when i last got mine.

Not very expensive and they are the same for all the MK2 clios - no "special" ones lol

Nope

1) Unclip the gaitor
- You can remove it by taking out the ashtray then sliding your finger thru the gap to unclip gaitors base plate.

2) Lift gaitor upwards so its inverted up

3) You will see a small zip tie, this will be tied round the gear knob base, cut this off

4) Baiscly reverse of above apart from you will have a new gaitor with a new zip tie which will need to be zipped and trim the excess.

cheers mate thanks for your help on this one!!! can i just double check this is the plastic surround that the leather sticks to aint it? not the leather it self cos mine is fine just the base which has come loose cheers

mine split too.......bought a chrome surround to fit .......looks ok (pretty)

drill small holes for it to screw down better ........... any major motorsport place should get em on order for ya .... dunno about silver 1's
